If you have administrative rights to your site, you can modify the contents of almost any drop down list that appears, as follows:
- In the navigation menu, select the Configuration > Applications > Fields option. This brings you to the Data Entry Fields screen that lists all of the data entry fields that appear in our database.
- Change the Screen drop-down to the appropriate data entry screen ("Mooring", for example)”. This will display a list of possible data entry fields on this screen.
- Click on the field name that has the drop-down list that you want to change, for example “TopChainType”. This brings you to the Data Entry Field page where you control the behavior of an individual data entry field.
- Click the Update List button. This will bring you to the Maintain Lists page that shows all of the values that are currently displayed in the drop-down list for that field.
- To add a new value to the list, type the value and click the Add icon to the right of the text box.
- To delete a value from the list, click the Delete icon next to the value. Doing this will prevent this value from being selected in the future, but does not change any existing permits that have this value. You will need to change those values manually.
- To change a value in the list, click the Edit icon next to the value. You will then be able to type a new value, and click the Save icon. This will cause the new value to appear in the drop down list going forward, but will not change any existing permits that had the old value. If you want those values to change, you will need to change them manually.
