Overview

This page allows a user to submit an application to a provider.  The look and display of the application varies based on the requirements of the provider, for the specific type of product/service that you are requesting.  After filling out the information on this application, we will determine whether you need to provide anything else to the provider (such as a payment or paper copies of requested attachments) -- if so, we will bring you to the Application Completion page where we will give you options for those remaining items.

Registration/Documentation Processing

​Some providers may require you to provide "proof" of your vessel ownership, by attaching a copy of your registration or documentation paperwork.
In some cases, we may be able to obtain this information directly from the agency that issues that paperwork, so that you don't have to attach a copy.  We can do that when:

• We have access to data from the agency that registered or documented your vessel.  The list of agencies that we currently have access to is listed on the Search Reg/Doc help page.
• You entered a registration/documentation number that is listed in the data provided to us by your agency.   Please note that there may be a delay between the time you register/document your vessel and the time that information is available to us.
• The data provided the agency indicates that your registration/documentation is current.
• The last name on your application matches the last name on the record provided by the agency.

• A green check mark will appear next to your registration/documentation number
• The information about your vessel from the agency database will be entered automatically into your application
• The option to attach your registration/documentation information will be hidden.

• A warning icon will appear next to your registration/documentation number.  You can move your mouse over the icon to find out which condition it didn't meet.
• You will need to enter all of the information about your vessel manually.
• You will need to provide a copy of your registration/documentation information, by uploading a scan or by providing a paper copy,

Navigation

Users can get to this screen in multiple ways:

• From the Home Page, by clicking on the "Apply for a Permit" button
• From the Navigation menu, by clicking on the "Add New" link under the "Permits" section.  This allows an administrative user to add a permit for someone else.
• From the View Permits page, by clicking on the Edit button in the General Information section.

Security

Users can view this screen if they have Permit Add or Permit Edit rights
