History for Tasks (history as of 1/3/2014 12:56:42 PM)

Online Mooring has a built-in Task Engine (aka, "The Robot") that allows you to automate processes that you would normal perform within the Online Mooring product manually.  If you find that there is something that you do repetitively, there is a good chance that you can set up a Task to do that for you.

For example, each of the following are examples of processing that can be turned into a task:
- Send an e-mail notification to an applicant to let them know they can submit a renewal
- Send an e-mail notification to yourself when an applicant has submitted an application
- Send an e-mail notification to an inspector when an inspection is due
- Send an e-mail notification to yourself when a payment has been received from PayPal
- Send an e-mail notification to remind an applicant that the deadline for an application is coming up soon
- Send an e-mail notification to an applicant when their permit expires
- Automatically approve applications that have been submitted and that have the necessary documentation, payment, and inspections.
- Automatically reject applications that have not provided all necessary items by a specified date
- Add a late fee to all applications that haven't been submitted by a specified date

This page shows you the following:

Robot Status

There are three possible statuses for the robot:
- Working.  This means that the robot is set to perform the tasks that you've defined.
- Waiting.  This means that the robot is figuring out what it needs to do, but it is holding off on doing those things until later.
- Ignoring.  This means that the robot is not going to perform any of the tasks you've defined.  This is the status of the robot when your site is first established, so that you don't accidentally generate e-mails and update applications unintentionally.

Task List

This lists all of the rules (tasks) that you've asked the Robot to perform for you.  You can click on any of the tasks to view/update the task definition on the Task page.
