Stripe

Online Mooring integrates with the payment gateway Stripe to enable secure (PCI-compliant) credit card payments and debit card payments.

Stripe has several advantages over PayPal:
- It is easier for people to enter their credit card or debit card information
- Stripe allows for provider fees to be deposited directly to a provider account, and for Online Mooring fees to be deposited directly to an Online Mooring account.  This allows providers to get their money more quickly.

Setting up a Stripe account

Unless you (as a Provider) take action to setup a Stripe account, and to let Online Mooring know about that account, any payments by your applicants will flow through Online Mooring.  So if you don't set up a Stripe account, things will work similarly to the way they do with PayPal -- you will receive money from Online Mooring once per month, either by check or by ACH, for the total amount due for transactions that occurred during a calendar month.

If you would like to receive your money from Stripe on a more frequent basis, you'll need to set up a Stripe account.  To do this, you'll need to do the following:

- Go to Configuration > Settings

- Click the "Add Stripe Account" button (this is in the "Financial" section of the page)

- This will bring you to a Stripe page.  There are two possible paths here:
1)  If you already have a Stripe account, choose the option to login to that account.  You will see a page asking you whether it is OK for Online Mooring to access your account to deposit money, and you need to allow that.
2)  If you don't already have a Stripe account, you can create a Stripe account.  You will need to provide information about your organization, contact information, how you want charges to appear on credit card statements, your banking information, and the credentials needed to login to your new Stripe account.  After you fill out that information, please click the "Authorize Access to This Account" button.   You will receive an e-mail from Stripe, and you'll need to click on the Login button on that e-mail and successfully login to Stripe

- If all was successful, you'll see an Online Mooring page with a message that says "Stripe Setup Successful"

- By default, Stripe will transfer money to your account on a daily basis.

Accessing your Stripe Account
