Overview
This page allows providers to configure an individual wait list that will appear in Online Mooring.
Page Content
Wait List Name - This is the name of the wait list, as it will appear to applicants.
Description - If you'd like to provide some additional information about the wait list, which will appear on wait list applications, and when you click the Edit button on the Wait list tab, please enter it here. This is optional.
Application Type - This specifies which application type for this wait list. If left blank, then all application types can be on this wait list.
Allow Selection - This determines whether applicants can select this wait list. One reason they wouldn't be able to select a wait list is that the provider wants the applicant to select a sub-list of this list.
Closed to New Applicants - If this is checked, then applicants will not be able to select this wait list on new wait list applications.
Automatic Application Removal - This controls the logic for automatically removing an applicant from a wait list when they are assigned to a berth.
When you add an "Application Approved" action to an application, which indicates that they are being assigned a berth for the first time, we check to see whether we should remove the application from this wait list. We will make that decision based on which option you select in this field:
- None - we will not remove this application from the wait list. It will be up to you to remove an application by deselecting the wait list manually.
- Always - we will remove this application from the wait list.
- If assigned to a berth related to this wait list - we will remove this application from the wait list if you assign this application to a berth that is related to this wait list. A berth is related if it has a matching mooring type (if entered), location (if entered), and can handle the vessel sizes specified here (if entered)
- If assigned to a berth related to this wait list or higher priority wait list - we will remove this application from the wait list if you assign this application to a berth that is related to this wait list, or any higher priority wait list. In order for this to work differently than the previous option, there need to be multiple wait lists for the applicant to choose from, and the Wait List Priority field needs to be visible. The Wait List Priority field allows applicants to choose a 1st choice, 2nd choice, 3rd choice, etc. wait list. If the applicant selected 3 wait lists, and this was their 2nd choice, we would remove this application from the wait list if you assigned the applicant to any berth associated with their 1st choice wait list or their 2nd choice wait list, but we'd leave them on the wait list if you assigned them to any berth associated with their 3rd choice wait list.
Maximum Wait - If you leave this blank, the Dashboard will calculate the estimated wait time by looking at how long the 1st person on the wait list has been waiting. If you would like to display something else in place of that calculated time, enter the text that you'd like us to display instead.
Parent Wait List - If this is filled in, the application will appear on the parent wait list instead of this wait list. This is useful when there is a single wait list with sub-lists.
Berth Type - If this is filled in, then this wait list is associated with berths that have this value in the Mooring Type field. When you try to assign someone from this wait list to a berth, the search will only include berths for this berth type.
Location - If this is filled in, then this wait list is associated with berths that have this value in the Location field. When you try to assign someone from this wait list to an available berth, the search will only include berths for this location.
Reservation Type ID - If this is filled in, then this wait list is associated with a specific transient group. When you try to assign someone from this wait list to an available berth, the search will only include berths for this transient group.
Minimum Length - If this is filled in, this wait list is for vessels that are at least this long. When you try to assign someone from this wait list to an available berth, the search will only include berths that can handle vessels at least this long.
Maximum Length - If this is filled in, this wait list is for vessels that are no more than this long. When you try to assign someone from this wait list to an available berth, the search will only include berths that can handle vessels less than this long.
