User

Overview

 This page is used to define a user's security role, and which individual records they are authorized to access.

Fields

Username - This is the username that will has rights to your site

Security Role - This is the security role for this user.  For more detailed information about your security roles, please visit your Roles page.

Access Filters - This section allows you to define which records this user will be able to access, if the user has been assigned to a role that has rights to "Filtered" records.  If you leave this section blank, then no filters will be applied, and the user will have rights to all records.  If you enter values here, however, you will filter the list of records that the user will be able to access.

Location - Use this field to specify a particular geographic area of your harbors that you want this person to be able to access.

Marina - Use this field to specify a particular marina that you want this person to be able to access.

Service Provider - This field comes into play for inspectors.  Moorings where the Service Provider field has the specified value will be included in this person's "Inspected Data".  The Inspector role usually has the rights to view and update this data.

To get to this page, click on an Edit button on the Users page.

Or, click on the Add button on the Users page and then fill out the existing account information on the User Search page.
