Welcome to Online Mooring.  This web site allows you to interact electronically with harbors in our network.  Our harbors (called "providers") are government agencies, commercial marinas, or yacht clubs that give permission to do something in their jurisdiction, such as getting a permit to use a mooring (or a slip, or a dock, etc.), renting a slip, or becoming a member.

If you would like general information about Online Mooring, please select one of the following links that best describes your role using this product:

Overview for Applicants - an applicant is a boater who needs a harbor-related resource

Overview for Providers - a provider is a government agency, marina, or yacht club that has jurisdiction over resources that are allocated to boaters (Applicants)

Overview for Inspectors - an inspector is someone who installs/maintains/inspects berths.

About Help

You most likely got to this help page by clicking the help button that appears after the page title on the Home Page.  Like every page in Online Mooring, the help button after the page title will get you help for the page you are on.  As a result, this help page provides information about the Home Page only.  To see a complete list of help topics, click the "Index (Show)" link to the left of this paragraph.  You can also search for help pages that contain any word(s) you want by entering the words in the search box in the top-right corner of this help page.

These help pages are interactive.  Please rate each help page so that we can focus our efforts on the pages that need the most improvement.  If you have any comments that you think would be helpful for other users, please feel free to add those as well.  Also please let us know if you had any specific questions that weren't answered here.  Thank you in advance for your feedback!

Page Overview

This is the main page for one of the Online Mooring providers, allowing you to view and manage your requests ("applications") to that provider.

We use the term "application" to refer to all related information for a single request.  Let's say you submit a wait list request for a mooring one year, and then need to reapply to remain on the wait list the next year, and then you are assigned a mooring and removed from the wait list, and then the next year you need to reapply to keep the mooring.  Since all of these activities are related, they are treated as a single "application" in Online Mooring, even though they might have corresponded to multiple paper applications prior to Online Mooring.

Fields

My Applications

This section of the page lists your existing applications, and lets you perform actions on these appliations.

When you first get to Online Mooring, some (or all) of your existing applications may not be listed.  This is because we don't yet know which applications are yours.  The way you let us know which applications are yours is by entering one or more Access Codes that you will get from your provider.  For more information about Access Codes, please visit our Access Code page.

Once you have successfully entered one or more Access Codes, you will see the following information for each application:

  • Reference Number.  This is a unique identifier for each application, and is usually a meaningless set of 8 letters.
  • Type.  A provider may have one or more different types of applications that they can process through Online Mooring.  For example, one provider supports a "Mooring Permit" application, and a "Slip Rental" application.  This tells you what type of application you submitted.
  • Description.  This gives additional information that describes your application, and often includes a description of the location associated with your application.
  • Status.  This tells you the current status of your application.  The status is short -- if you'd like a fuller description of the status, simply move your mouse over the status.
  • Amount Due.  If you have an outstanding balance, the balance will show here.  You can pay this outstanding balance by clicking on the Pay button above the application list (this will take you to Google Checkout).  Please note that application/renewal fees are calculated after you have completed your online submission.
  • Actions Allowed.  Based on the current status of your application, you will be allowed to do different things.  If you need to enter/update information for the provider, you will see a button that says "Apply" or "Renew".  If the provider has approved your application or put you on a wait list, you will see an option to "Cancel" your application if you no longer need to be on the list or no longer need the resource you're approved for.

New Permit Application

This section is used to enter a brand new application that is UNRELATED to existing applications that you have previously submitted to this provider.

Each provider decides what types of applications (such as mooring permits) can be submitted through this web site.

If you want to submit a new application, choose from the following options:

Apply  - Click this button if you want to submit a new electronic application that is unrelated to any existing applications that you have previously submitted.  If you are trying to renew an existing application, you should instead click on the Renew button on the appropriate application in your My Applications section.

Print - Click this button if you want to display a blank application, which you can then print, fill out, and submit by mail to the provider.

Enter - This option is available only to providers, and is used to enter an application on behalf of someone else.  By using this option, the application will not be placed into the "My Applications" section, and you will not be asked to pay the fees.

Navigation

This is the first page you will see when you access the web site.  You can also get to this page at any time by clicking on the Home link in the Navigation menu.
