Online payments can be processed using PayPal. The primary reason for using this processor is to ensure the security of your credit card information. Because of the volume of transactions processed by PayPal, it is subject to the most stringest Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards. Your credit card information is not available to Online Mooring in any form.
Paying with PayPal
To pay your fee with PayPal, you do NOT need a PayPal account. If you already have one, you can use it. If you don't, you can use PayPal as a "guest" by clicking the "Don't Have a PayPal Account?" link that appears.
Enter your credit card information and click the "Review and Continue" button. Then you need to click the "Pay Now" button. Your card will NOT be charged until you click the "Pay Now" button. PayPal will send you an e-mail when it has successfully charged your credit card, which may be minutes or (rarely) hours later.
If PayPal is unable to charge your credit card, you will get an e-mail notification, and will be asked to log in to PayPal and resubmit your credit card information.
Viewing the PayPal status using Online Mooring
PayPal notifies Online Mooring about the status of your payment.
This notification information is available through Online Mooring. If you go to the Application Summary page and go to the Payment section, you will see a Payment Record from PayPal shortly after the applicant clicks the "Pay" button, even if PayPal has not yet successfully charged the credit card.
If the Payment amount for an Online payment is $0, this means that PayPal has not charged the credit card. A status will display, which will contain two parts separated by a dash.
The first part of the status will have one of the following values:
