Supported Browsers
Online Mooring is written to adhere to standard web technologies (HTML5 and CSS3), so it should run on any web browser that supports these standards. We test to make sure that the product runs properly on the following browsers:
Internet Explorer v10+
Google Chrome v66+
Mozilla Firefox v55+
Apple Safari 5.1.7+
Security Settings
Each browser has different security settings that must be enabled in order for Online Mooring to function as expected.
Enable Javascript
Javascript is used throughout Online Mooring, and needs to be enabled for proper functioning of the web site. To do this, configure your browser as follows:
In Internet Explorer v10+:
- Click the Gear icon
- Choose the Internet Settings option
- Click the Security tab
- Click the Custom Level button
- Scroll down to the option that says "Allow scripting of Microsoft web browser control", and select the "Enable" radio button underneath.
- Click OK
- Click Yes
- Click OK
Google Chrome v66+
- Click the ellipsis icon (...)
- Choose the Settings option
- Scroll to the bottom and click Advanced
- In the "Privacy and Security" section, click on "Content Settings"
- Click on Javascript
- Turn this option on
Enable Cookies
If you would like to log in to Online Mooring, and/or you'd like Online Mooring to pre-fill values based on what you've done in the past, you'll need to enable cookies as follows:
Internet Explorer v10+
- Click the Gear icon
- Choose the Internet Settings option
- Click the Security tab
- Click the Custom Level button
- Scroll down to the option that says "Allow scripting of Microsoft web browser control", and select the "Enable" radio button underneath.
- Click OK
- Click Yes
- Click OK
Google Chrome v66+
- Click the ellipsis icon (...)
- Choose the Settings option
- Scroll to the bottom and click Advanced
- In the "Privacy and Security" section, click on "Content Settings"
- Click on Javascript
- Turn this option on
Allow Downloads
If you would like to export files from Online Mooring, please make sure the browser is configured as follows:
Internet Explorer v10+
- Click the Gear icon
- Choose the Internet Settings option
- Click the Security tab
- Click the Custom Level button
- Scroll down to the option that says "Allow downloads", and select the "Enable" radio button underneath.
- Click OK
- Click Yes
- Click OK
Use current location
If you would like the charts to be centered on your current location, or if you'd like to enter your current coordinates into a coordinate field, you'll need to configure your browser to give us permission to access this information. To do that, configure your browser as follows:
Internet Explorer v10+
- Click the Gear icon
- Choose the Internet Settings option
- Click the Security tab
- Click the Custom Level button
- Scroll down to the option that says "Allow downloads", and select the "Enable" radio button underneath.
- Click OK
- Click Yes
- Click OK
Google Chrome v66+
- Click the ellipsis icon (...)
- Choose the Settings option
- Scroll to the bottom and click Advanced
- In the "Privacy and Security" section, click on "Content Settings"
- Click on Location
- Turn this option on
