Wait List Selection

Overview

This page allows applicants to select the wait lists that they want to be on.

For each wait list that an applicant can check, there is a check box that indicates whether the applicant wants to be on that wait list.

Some providers allow applicants to pick their top 3 (or top n) wait list choices.  When that happens, a "Priority" field appears next to each wait list.  The first option selected is interpreted as being the applicants first choice, the second option is the 2nd choice, and so on.  The applicant can reorder the priorities if desired.

Some providers put people on the wait list in the order in which they selected the wait list.  When this is the case, the selection date may be visible (but not editable) to the applicant, and may be visible (and editable) to the provider.

Some providers limit how many wait lists can be selected.  If so, a message saying "Choose up to n wait lists" will appear at the top of the page.  Applicants will be unable to check more than that many wait lists.  If there is no limit on how many wait lists can be selected, an "All" option appears that allows applicants to select all wait lists.

If there is only one selectable wait list available to the applicant, that wait list is automatically selected during the application process.
