Payments for Multiple Applications

Normally, payments are for a single application.  But it is possible to record applications that should be applied to multiple applications.  Here's how.

Search for Applications

Usually, when you receive a payment for multiple applications, they are all for the same person.  So, you can search for all applications for that person.  The easiest way to do that is to click on the Search icon in the top right corner of the page, enter the person's name, and click the Search icon.

Select Applications that you want to pay

In the search results, every application will be selected.  If there are any that you don't want to include, you can deselect them.

Make Sure Applications have Outstanding Charges

You can only pay charges that have already been entered into the database that have an outstanding balance.  If there is an outstanding balance, the application will appear with a red $ symbol.  If it has a green $ symbol, you may need to go into the application and record a charge (by adding one of the Submitted actions, or any other actions that result in a charge)

Apply Payment

To apply the payment against outstanding charges on the selection applications, scroll to the bottom of the Search Results page and click the Payment button.

This will bring you to the Payment screen, where you can enter the total amount paid at the top, and then specify what the payment is for down below.  If the payment is for the outstanding amount, all outstanding charges will be paid.  If the payment is for more than the outstanding amount, all outstanding charges will be paid and a credit will remain for the difference.  If the payment is for less than the outstanding amount, we will attempt to pay all outstanding charges until there is no money left, and the charges at the bottom of the list will remain unpaid unless you manually edit the amounts that we should pay.
