Moving Payments Between Applications

Payments are associated with an application.   But what if a payment was made against the wrong application, and you want to move the payment to the correct application?

Option #1 


This option is the simplest, but only works if:
1)  Both applications are for the same applicant
2)  AND there are outstanding charges on the correct application

Here's what to do:
1)  Choose the Search > Applicants option on the navigation bar
2)  On the search page, search for the person who made the payment
3)  On the search results page, click on the name of the person
4)  On the Applicant Summary page, click the Payment tab
5)  Click the date link for the correct payment
6)  On the Payment page, in the Payment Allocation section, 0 out the allocation to the wrong application and enter the amount that should be paid to the correct application.
7)  Click Save.

Option #2

To do this, you'll CUT the payment from the wrong application, and PASTE the payment to the right application

1)  Go to the Application Summary page for the wrong application
2)  Click on the Payment tab on that application
3)  Click on the date link for the payment you want to move
4)  On the Payment page, click either the Cut Payment button or the Cut Credit button.  Use the Cut Payment payment if you want to move the entire payment to another application, or the Cut Credit button if you only want to move the portion of the payment that is currently available as a credit.  

5)  Go to the Application Summary page for the right application
6)  Click on the Payment tab on that application
7)  Click on the Paste button that appears on that tab
