Map Scheme

Overview

This page allows you to view and/or change a single color scheme.  A color scheme controls how berths are displayed on a chart of the harbor.

Fields

Settings Tab

Scheme Name - This is the name of the scheme that will appear in the color scheme drop-down list.

Field Name - This is a database field that will control how items will appear on the chart.

Colors Tab

You can specify the color to display for values in the database field that you specified on the Settings tab.  To change existing instructions, click the Edit icon, update the values, and then click the Save button on that row.  To add instructions for another value, enter the values and click the Add button.

Value - When the database field has the value that you enter in this field, the marker that you specify will be used.  You can leave this blank to indicate situations when the database field is blank.

Please note:  if the database field that you chose is a Flag, the value is 1 for berths that have the specified flag, and the value is 0 for berths that don't have the specified flag.

Description - This is a description that will appear in the legend on the chart page.  If the database field is a text field, you can type the same thing in this field.  But if the database field has a numeric code value, you'd want to enter a meaningful description here.

Marker - There are a number of pre-defined markers that can be shown on the chart.  Pick the one that you'd like to display for this database value.

Ordinal - This is a number that controls the order in which the values are displayed in the chart legend.  Lower numbers appear first.  If you have two values with the same ordinal, they will both be displayed after any items with lower ordinals, and before any items with higher ordinals, but you won't be able to guarantee which of the values with the same ordinal will appear first.
