Map Layers

Not Rated Yet
Online Mooring allows providers to define additional items that should appear on the chart.  The Chart Layers page allows providers to view and/or update the additional items.

Each customized item that will appear on the chart is called a "Chart Feature".  An item can be a point, a line, or an area.  You can store up to 5 pieces of information about each chart feature, which will appear when you click on the chart feature on the map.

Chart Features are grouped into Chart Layers.  For example, if you wanted to show several buoys on the chart, you might create a Chart Layer called "Buoys".  When you display this layer, all of the buoys will appear on the chart.  All of the chart features in a chart layer must have the same type of features -- they must all be points, or all lines, or all areas.

Fields

This page shows a grid that lists all of the existing chart layers, if any.

To add a new layer, click the "+" icon in grid header.

To edit a layer, click the Edit icon (it looks like a pencil) on the appropriate grid row.

To delete all information about a chart layer, click the Delete icon.

Accessing the page

Users who have rights to this page will see an Edit icon above the list of Chart Layers on the Chart page.
