Google Checkout

Not Rated Yet
Online payments are processed using Google Checkout. The primary reason for using this processor is to ensure the security of your credit card information. Because of the volume of transactions processed by Google Checkout, it is subject to the most stringest Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards. Your credit card information is not available to Online Mooring in any form.

Paying with Google Checkout

To pay your fee with Google Checkout, you will need a Google Checkout account. If you already have one, you can use it. If you don't, you can create one at no charge.

Enter your credit card information and click the Pay button. Google Checkout will send you an e-mail when it has successfully charged your credit card, which may be minutes or (rarely) hours later.

If Google Checkout is unable to charge your credit card, you will get an e-mail notification, and will be asked to log in to Google Checkout and resubmit your credit card information.

Viewing the Google Checkout status using Online Mooring

Google Checkout notifies Online Mooring about the status of your payment.

This notification information is available through Online Mooring. If you go to the Application Summary page and go to the Payment section, you will see a Payment Record from Google Checkout shortly after the applicant clicks the "Pay" button, even if Google Checkout has not yet successfully charged the credit card.

If the Payment amount for an Online payment is $0, this means that Google has not charged the credit card. A status will display, and the information after the dash will contain one of the following values:

Financial State Description
REVIEWING

REVIEWING is the default financial state for all new orders. Upon receiving a new order, Google reviews the order to confirm that it is chargeable. After determining that the order is chargeable, Google will update the financial order state to CHARGEABLE.

CHARGEABLE

The CHARGEABLE state indicates that you may charge the customer for an order.

CHARGING

The CHARGING state indicates that Google is in the process of charging the customer. Once the charge has been completed, Google will update the financial order state to CHARGED.

CHARGED

The CHARGED state indicates that you have fully charged the customer for an order.

PAYMENT_DECLINED

The PAYMENT_DECLINED state indicates that Google's effort to authorize or charge the customer's credit card failed. If this happens, Google will email the customer to request a new credit card. The customer will have seven days – 168 hours – to submit a new card.

  • If the customer submits a new credit card for an order that previously failed authorization, Google will send a notification indicating that the order's financial update status has been updated to CHARGEABLE.

  • If the customer submits a new credit card for an order that previously failed to charge, Google will charge the credit card and send you a notification indicating that the order's financial update status has been updated to CHARGED.

CANCELLED

The CANCELLED state indicates that either the buyer or the merchant canceled the order.

f the buyer's credit card is declined, the buyer has the option of canceling the order rather than updating his credit card information.

The buyer can cancel an order within 15 minutes of placing that order.

CANCELLED_BY_GOOGLE

The CANCELLED_BY_GOOGLE state indicates that Google canceled an order. Google may cancel an order if the credit card authorization fails and the customer does not provide a new credit card within seven days. Google will send a notification indicating that the order was canceled, and the reason tag in the notification will explain why Google canceled the order.

Canceling Google Checkout payments

Applicants can cancel their Google Checkout payment, as long as they cancel within 15 minutes of their payment. After that, cancelations are at the discretion of the provider, and may involve a cancelation fee.
