Document Type

This page allows you view and/or update information about a type of document that will be provided by permit applicants.

Document Type - This is the name of the attachment that will be displayed to applicants.

Description - If you'd like to provide instructions to the applicant about the attachment, please enter those instructions here.

Allow Offline Submission - If you want applicants to be able to send you a paper copy of the attachment, check this box.  Otherwise, we will only give the option to upload the attachment online.

Allow N/A - If you want applicants to be able to record that a document is Not Applicable, check this box.

Expiration Type - This controls the display of an expiration field on the application.  Choose one of the following options:
- Expiration Date not shown - if you choose this option, we won't display an expiration date field.  If you choose this option, be sure to choose an Expiration Date of "No Expiration" below.
- Expiration Date entered by user - if you choose this option, we will display an expiration date field that can be entered.
- Expiration Date at end of year -  if you choose this option, we won't display an expiration date field, but we will automatically record an expiration date at the end of the current year.

Expiration Date - This controls the logic of how we determine whether an attachment is current
- No expiration - attachments of this type are always current
- Expiration before current date - attachments are current if the expiration date is in the future
- Expiration before end of year - attachments are current if the expiration date is after this year 

Power Boats Only - If your document is applicable to power boats only, check this box.  If the applicant enters an engine type of None, Row, or Sail on their application, we will automatically record that this application is N/A.

Residents Only - If your document is applicable to residents only, check this box.  If the applicant indicates that they are a non-resident, by entering anything other than Yes in the Resident field on their application, then we will automatically record that this application is N/A.

Show When True - If you'd like to have more flexibility over when this attachment is shown, you can enter a T-SQL expression here (Online Mooring can help you with this).  When this expression evaluates to 1, then the behavior of the attachment will be as you specify below.  But if the expression evaluates to anything else, then we will override the behavior to be Hidden.  This could be useful if you want to show attachments at certain times of the year, but not in other times of the year.

Behavior - This allows you to specify whether this attachment is visible, editable, or required at different times.  This grid shows one column for each of your different application types, and one row for each different situation when might arise.  In each cell, you specify what Online Mooring should do:

- Hidden - This attachment is hidden, so it doesn't appear on the form
- Disabled - This attachment is view-only, so it cannot be updated by the applicant
- Normal - This attachment is optional, so it can be provided but it doesn't need to be
- Required - This attachment is required, so it must be provided in some form
